In Tangier

Moroccan interiors always seem so enticing, but I don't know if the look really works if you're not actually in Morocco. So even though this is definitely a fantasy look ... what a fantasy! Perfect for dark dramas — or maybe just a cozy afternoon with a Paul Bowles book.

Special shout-out to the black and white check floors, which I'm loving since seeing them used so elegantly in Buenos Aires.

Mmmmmm, dark and grungy! Also, just did a checkerboard post for From the Right Bank... my love for them will never die.

Oh gawd! This is, most definitely, my kind of fantasy. I seriously got goosebumps running up and down my arms from this trio of snapshots. That spectacular architecture can stand up to any kind of color. The inky blue ambiance it creates is incredible. And my love for a crazy mix of tiles is unbridled when it comes to a Moroccan interiors.

This somehow feels to me as if I've stepped into a beautiful, old Dutch master painting. You know?
