Hello again

I am breaking my vow of having nothing more to do with highly-annoying blogger software to post this: a new photo shoot of one my favorite apartments, previously featured here. I'm always a sucker for a fresh view of an old favorite; it's great to see new corners — and how things change over time. And I sometimes wonder if there needs to be any other reason to live in Paris than to have those gorgeous herringbone floors...

Painted screen

The dark drama of a folding screen used as a headboard. The casual feel that comes from it being off center. White linens, but black shades on the lamps. A simple opulence.

Swingin'

I don't believe that Marcel Wanders chair was ever meant to be sat in, but look beyond it to that amazing screen. Striking shades of blue, and a design that suggests Italy in the dolce vita era. The wood grain on that lamp is also pretty fabulous. (I might have strategically cropped a zebra rug out of this picture.)
