I'm going to Berlin in October! Woo! This is a city I have really wanted to visit for the last 15 years and it's finally happening. Anyone have any suggestions?
(Unfortunately, I missed this, the wrapped Reichstag.)

I'm not sure you followed any of my Paris advice but, for what it's worth (I lived in a Berlin a few years ago), here are some suggestions:
Stay in East Berlin, clearly. Ackselhaus is a well-designed hotel in Mitte.
I due forni is a great punk pizzeria, real atmospheric.
You might like a bar called Wohnzimmer.
The Kollwitzplatz market is worth catching (good wholewheat waffle stand!), in a charming neighbourhood to walk around with cobblestones and old buildings (not so common in Berlin).
All the museums are great -- wonderful old masters in the State museum. Grosse Hamburger Bahnhof and Sammlung Berggruen are neat, smaller galleries. And the Ethnological museum is one of the best in the world, I think, and beautifully presented.
Manufactum is an unmissable store near the Zoologischer Garten. You may be familiar with their website. All kinds of stuff for the home.
For a guide, Stylecity Berlin (although published some time ago) has a number of excellent shops/bars in it.
OMG, I'm staying at Ackselhaus!
Thanks so much for the suggestions!
I suggest... you pack me in your suitcase!
Visit Bauhaus archiv and Neue Nationalgalerie (beautiful building designed by Mies van der Rohe). Have a lovely trip!!
