Everyday beauty

When I travel overseas, I always visit supermarkets and drugstores — just to look at the products. Oftentimes, you can only appreciate product design when you look at it with foreign eyes. In these days of global brands, it's often harder to find really interesting local stuff, but it's out there — and makes for a cheap souvenir. Which brings us to this photo of a Swedish kitchen. These spice jars make such a bold, graphic statement. And they're functional!

from fine little day. Same home as here.

I do the same thing...I even like reading the product descriptions on the label (when they're in a language I can read).
I used to live in Tokyo before I moved to New York. Every store is heaven there-including the supermarkets and drugstores!
