
I'm a big fan of globes in decorating. I like maps, and globes add a sculptural element. Earlier this week i posted a
globe on top of a bookcase. So here's mine, although I didn't shoot the whole bookcase (which is taller than me). As with all things in my apartment, it's overcrowded, and my globe is getting overshadowed by boxes. This is a pretty old globe. I got it as a Christmas present as a little girl!

Here's my second globe (if I didn't have such a small apartment, I might become one of those crazy globe collectors). Like the globe above, this was a gift from my parents, but in this case, I picked it out for myself in a wonderful shop in Rome, Italy, last year. Next to it is a music box, also from Rome, that got passed down to me from my Great Aunt Mimi.

Obviously I am fretting about my messy house today, because the first thing I thought when I saw that picture was, Wow, her bookcase is so organized.
And I loooove maps and globes, too!
