So after a midweek sojourn to the land of dark paint, I feel I must revisit this cottage in Cornwall with a few more shots.

But a cleaner and fresher look in the bedrooms, which is quite appropriate.
Plus, doggies! These two look so cozy and comfy I'm willing to revise my opinion on bean bag chairs.
I kind of like the wide plank siding used here. And what's that I see in the backround?

I can't resist a few more black interiors. This black kitchen has custom cabinets. I like the way the uncovered sections are painted a (pale) color. It makes the kitchen a lot more homey. So do the items they choose to display — a little messy and fresh. Not the overly curated modernism you might expect in such a "designed" space.
It just might be a functional kitchen!
No sooner did I post about black paint, that I spotted this picture of Anna's bathroom ceiling! The bathroom is still a work-in-progress, but she's almost there, and I can't wait to see it!
So, even darker than the blue is black. I still toy with painting a single wall black, and it's interesting to see black used successfully as an accent.
And this is just a "styled" shot, but I like the look of the matte black paint on the panels. The key in any dark interior seems to be balancing it with lights/whites.
I love, love, love Cornwall, UK, but I think I would love this house, even if it wasn't located there. Let's look at all the amazing things in this photo. The floors and fireplace. The built-in glass cabinet. The elegant, but comfortable furniture. And of course, the aged wall.
I'm always a sucker for those walls. Look at this office!
