Speaking of orange ...
a summer house in Sweden.

We are having our first run of cool, rainy weather this summer. It makes me want to curl up in a room like this. Who knew black could feel so cozy?
If the ground is dry and you have able-bodied dinner guests, why not? (Dragging out the china cabinet might be pushing it, though.)

I really want to see more pictures of this guy's house. The slideshow was not enough!
I'm going to Berlin in October! Woo! This is a city I have really wanted to visit for the last 15 years and it's finally happening. Anyone have any suggestions?
I always enjoy finding new pictures of spaces I've already featured. I already rhapsodized about this room here. Y'all know I'm a sucker for Josef Frank designs. Plus, those amazing leather Arne Jacobsen sofas.
This is the Copenhagen home of illustrator and designer Lisa Grue. She seems like fun.
I've thought about doing a paint job like this on my own desk. The green Noguchi lamp looks very chic here.
I want to be a kid again and get invited to Scandinavian summer houses with Marimekko pillows. Instead, I'm going to work...
I really like the colors of the bedlinens. (And I've long been a fan of ruby red and pale blue.)
Yes, I suppose this is crying out for a Unhappy Hipsters caption, but I don't care. I totally covet this apartment and I'm not ashamed to say so.
Like what is going on in this picture? Is something reflected? Are there two rooms with bookcases stuffed with interesting stuff? I guess so, since the floors are different. Mmmm, the floors...
Another nice floor in the kitchen. One wall seems to be wallpapered, although the wallpaper does not show up in any other pictures, unfortunately.
The tile floor makes this kitchen seem like a sophisticated little cafe. Or maybe it's the two tables for two (a little weird, right? Maybe the German explains).
And then there's a note of the bizarre with this JUMBO-SIZED Eames Hang-It-All. I had to stare at this photo for a long time before I realized what I was seeing.
Even the floor in the entranceway is cool.
I picked up a Dwell at the airport (ever notice how like every single home featured has an Eames shell chair in it? Just sayin'). I was quite impressed by this sophisticated, compact white house, with some colorful, homey touches amid the high-end artwork.

This great sequence demonstrating the shifting light patterns over the course of a day is notable for actually featuring an illuminated light! Very unusual in interiors photography!
